Cara's Confections

I have found a true love for making these cute and popular cake balls and cake pops. It does not stop there! I can do Brownie balls, Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Bites, Dipped cookies, and am starting to expand my field into more birthday and wedding desired cakes and desserts! The sky's the limit! You tell me what you want, and I'm sure I can whip up something you'll love! My confections are made to order! So when ordering your delicious confections, YOU tell me the flavor of cake, brownie, or other treat, the type of chocolate, and the color or occasion you want! (See Menu tab for tried and tested flavors)

New Flavors

So, I'm trying to expand beyond the traditional vanilla, chocolate, or red velvet cake flavors!  This past weekend, I made 3 new flavors!

Raspberry lemonade: it's a lemonade cake (made from scratch) with a fresh raspberry pure'e frosting.

White chocoalte raspberry: vanilla cake with raspberry pure'e filling with a white chocolate buttercream, drizzled with raspberry pure'e.

"Butterbeer": Inspired by Harry Potter.  I cannot take credit for this recipe...but it's delicious!  It's a butter cake made with Cream Soda with a butterscotch ganache, topped with butterscotch buttercream, drizzled with more ganache!

All 3 flavors were made into cupcakes, but could be adapted for full cakes.  Not sure how well it would turn out with cake balls, but could probably tweak it!!!

Welcome Home Elder Wilburn!

So, I've done a farewell cake, this is a Homecoming cake - even bigger!  Hey, he deserves it!  He served in the Colombia Bogota Norte Mission.  The picture given to me to model this cake after had only two sides showing...so I had to improvise the the other 2 sides. It also had roses...which I changed.  I did a little research on Bogota Colombia and found what the National Flag looked like, as well as what the National flower - which is Orchids.  Well...enough said....take a look!

P.S. I did not make the orchids....they are silk...
